It’s Royal Road Legends (RRL)’s 5th anniversary! What is RRL, you ask? It’s a community of authors and writers who are passionate about writing and reading fiction of all kinds.
How does RRL help writers?
In the spring of 2017 I began posting chapters of my story Conquest on RRL one chapter a day. The momentum was a little slow at first, but then I started gaining a lot of traction in mid-February.
Overall, I had gained a huge readership as you can see from the stats above! Knowing my story was nearing completion, I set up a pre-order for Conquest on Amazon’s Kindle platform and added a link to the pre-order in my top author notes section as I continued to post chapters daily on RRL. Just prior to my official release on May 19th 2017, I removed all but a 10% sample. I was dumbfounded by the 156 pre-order purchases I had accumulated for Conquest! Needless to say, when I launched my story was a huge success.
